Burnhope Adds A Win To A Week Of Seconds

After a week consisting of two close seconds the win from Burnhope welcomed.

Even Stevens came a close second in the Class 2 Handicap at Lingfield on Tuesday with the favourite beating him by less than 1/2 a length. He bounced back to form after a couple of disappointing runs, this run was encouraging as it shows prospects for other upcoming races at Lingfield and bodes well for when his favoured Southwell reopens.

Chokidar also came a close second at Lingfield on Thursday in the 7f Handicap, this was a competitive handicap and the 5 year-old came to hold every chance in the straight. This performance delighted everyone involved following his 108 days off. Chockidar will come on alot from this race.

Burnhope brought a Win to the team with the Class 4 6f Handicap at Kempton. They appreared to go at a decent pace and the time was the fastest of the day. The 4 year-old was down in the weights and showed much-improved form for the application of cheekpieces, and the time off he has had to strengthen up into his big frame, whilst displaying a good attitude in the process.
