Scott Dixon Racing is delighted to be able to offer pre-booked private behind the scenes stable tours. 
 
Your morning will start between 7:30 & 8.00 am where you will be greeted by the trainer Scott Dixon and join him for morning tea and coffee prior to heading out onto the gallops to see your first lot of horses out that morning. Following a return to the yard and a discussion with the work riders - you will enjoy a full English breakfast in the main dining room of the historic grade II listed Haygarth House. Whilst enjoying breakfast Scott will explain the forthcoming plans of the yard in much more detail. Following breakfast you will follow Scott in his usual daily routine learning how the horses are trained from un-broken yearlings to the winning racehorses. You will then accompany Scott up onto the all weather gallops to view the horses working and talk you through the horses and discuss future plans.
 
After watching the horses work you will return to the main yard where you will have the opportunity to tour the stables and get up close and personal with some of our equine stars such as veteran 5f sprinter Sir Geoffrey and the group placed Wings of the Rock. Scott will explain to you how entries are made and the complexity of choosing the right race and jockey for each horse. You may even be lucky enough to spot a top jockey or two who may be with us during your visit.
At the end of the tour you will have the opportunity to enjoy further refreshments and discuss the morning and the race meetings coming up before departing around noon.
