Optimickstickhill Storms Home At Thirsk Racecourse

Optimickstickhill secures stallion Milk It Mick another winner whilst storming home to victory at Thirsk Racecourse ridden by Theodore Ladd.

OPTIMICKSTICKHILL or Sally as she is known at home ran her best race when runner-up in first-time cheekpieces at Nottingham nine days prior and backed that up at Thirsk. The bulk of the field raced centre-to-far side, while 'Sally' raced solo up the nearside rail. Taken to race alone against the stands' side early, she stuck on well and, despite edging off the rail, maintained her effort to get up close home and break her duck at the tenth attempt.

Sally is owned by the Tickhill Partnership who owned her dam Stylistickhill. Sally was bred by Yvette Dixon at Haygarth house and is sired by Yvette and Paul's stallion Milk It Mick who stands at Norton Grove.

Sally is ridden at home by Freddie Ingram and was accompanied to the races by Annabelle Johnson where she also won best turned out.

Sally now joins her grey companion Thundercloud in the winning ranks.

I would like to thank the team for all of their hard work at home and at the races,

Many thanks to our sponsors OceanFeed Equine GAIN Equine Nutrition and Fine Fettle Feed all of which keep our horses in fine form and winning ways
