Crosse Fire Starts The Cheltenham Festival In Style

Tuesday saw the start of a very windy Cheltenham Festival thanks to Storm Gareth. Our team headed to Southwell Racecourse to watch the Cheltenham Festival from the comforts of the Owners and Trainers.

Crosse Fire was our first runner of the day in the 3:05 ridden by Kieran O'neil. He put in a sterling performance to fend off the Michael Appleby trained The Great Wall to reward his owners with a well deserved win.

Crosse Fire has been ever consistent in 2019 being placed 2nd three times and 3rd twice from his 5 runs.

It is evident that Crosse Fire thrives this week of the year giving his loyal owners 5 wins in 5 years over the Cheltenham Festival week at Southwell with 3 of his wins being over 6f and two over 5f

It must also be said that Kieran O'neil and Crosse Fire have struck up a fantastic partnership with 7 of his 11 wins being ridden by Kieran.

Daniel Bembridge and Crosse Fire also make a fabulous team at home and at the races.

Long may their partnership thrive.

Many Thanks go to Southwell Racecourse for their fantastic hospitality, our owners had a wonderful day and what a start for the Cheltenham Festival festivities.

The whole Scott Dixon Racing team is looking forward to the move to the newly refurbished training barn's at Southwell Racecourse at the end of the month.
